The Best Great Taste Award-Winning Toffee Vodkas in the UK
Toffee vodka has become a popular choice for anyone who enjoys rich caramel flavours and a smooth, warming drink.
You can serve it chilled, pour it over ice, add it to coffee or use it to create a dessert-style cocktail. Some people even drizzle it over vanilla ice cream.
But which are the best toffee vodkas made in the UK?
One useful way to compare them is through the Great Taste Awards. The Guild of Fine Food runs these independent awards each year. Products are assessed through blind tasting by panels of chefs, buyers, retailers, food writers and other industry professionals.
We researched the UK toffee vodkas that received Great Taste stars during the five award years from 2022 to 2026.
The results place Wicstun Distillery Toffee Vodka with Salted Caramel at the top of the latest rankings, following its two-star award in 2026.
What do Great Taste stars mean?
Great Taste products can receive one, two or three stars.
A one-star award means the judges consider the product to be delicious. Two stars recognise an outstanding product, while three stars are reserved for products considered exceptional.
Each product is assessed independently. Great Taste does not publish a formal league table for toffee vodka. Our ranking therefore uses the number of stars received, followed by the date of the award.

1. Wicstun Distillery Toffee Vodka with Salted Caramel
Great Taste 2026: Two stars
Wicstun Distillery Toffee Vodka received two stars at the 2026 Great Taste Awards.
It combines smooth vodka with rich toffee and salted caramel flavours. The result is sweet and indulgent, but carefully balanced to prevent the sweetness from overpowering the drink.
The Great Taste judges described it as having an unmistakable toffee aroma and a creamy fudge character on the palate. They also highlighted its balanced sweetness, underlying bitterness and long finish.
Every bottle is made, bottled and labelled in small batches at Wicstun Distillery in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire.
The vodka liqueur contains 22% alcohol by volume. This gives it enough warmth and character to enjoy on its own while remaining smooth enough to use in mixed drinks.
Try it:
-
Chilled as an after-dinner drink
-
Served over ice
-
Added to an espresso martini
-
Mixed with apple juice or cloudy lemonade
-
Poured over vanilla or chocolate ice cream
-
Added to hot chocolate or coffee
Wicstun takes first place because it matches the highest star rating achieved by a UK toffee vodka during the five years covered, while holding the most recent two-star award.

2. Solway Spirits Treacle Toffee Vodka
Great Taste 2022: Two stars
Solway Spirits received two Great Taste stars for its Treacle Toffee Vodka in 2022.
This Scottish vodka has a stronger and darker flavour profile than many sweeter toffee vodka liqueurs. It is infused with treacle toffee from the Penrith Toffee Shop and bottled at 37.5% alcohol by volume.
The judges identified treacle, molasses, butter, gingerbread and toffee popcorn flavours. They also noted that the higher alcoholic strength helped balance the sweetness.
Solway Spirits shares the highest star rating in this list. It ranks second because its award dates from 2022, while Wicstun holds the more recent two-star result.
3. Golden Road Gin Toffee Vodka Liqueur with Cornish Sea Salt
Great Taste 2026: One star
Golden Road Gin received one star for its Toffee Vodka Liqueur with Cornish Sea Salt in 2026.
Although best known for its Welsh gin, the producer has expanded its range to include a toffee vodka liqueur. The addition of sea salt helps balance the caramel sweetness.
This is the second toffee vodka from the 2026 awards to appear in our ranking. Its one-star rating places it below the two-star winners.
4. Kin Toffee Apple Vodka
Great Taste 2024: One star
Kin Toffee Apple Vodka received one Great Taste star in 2024.
This is a flavoured variation rather than a traditional toffee-only vodka. It combines buttery toffee and caramel notes with the sharper flavour of apple.
The apple makes it a good option for drinkers who want a fruitier alternative. It can be served chilled or mixed with apple juice, ginger ale or cider.
We have included it because Great Taste lists the product as a toffee apple vodka. Its additional apple flavour means it is not a direct comparison with straightforward toffee or salted caramel vodka liqueurs.
5. Viburna Spirits Toffee Vodka
Great Taste 2023: One star
Viburna Spirits received one Great Taste star for its Toffee Vodka in 2023.
The Cambridgeshire producer entered two products that year. Its Toffee Vodka received one star, while its Crème de Cassis received two stars.
This distinction matters because reports covering both awards can make it appear that the Toffee Vodka received the higher rating. The confirmed rating for the Toffee Vodka was one star.
5. Fenlands Distillery Toffee Vodka Liqueur
Great Taste 2023: One star
Fenlands Distillery also received one star for its Toffee Vodka Liqueur in 2023.
The distillery produces its base vodka from fermented sugar beet before distilling it in small copper stills. It then infuses the vodka with toffee to create a 26% ABV liqueur.
It can be served over ice, mixed with apple juice or cider, or poured over vanilla ice cream.
Fenlands and Viburna share fifth place because both received one star in the same award year.
Were there any Great Taste-winning toffee vodkas in 2025?
We could not identify a UK toffee vodka or toffee vodka liqueur that received a Great Taste star in 2025.
This does not mean no products were entered. Great Taste only lists products that received an award. Products that were entered but did not receive a star are not included in the public winners’ list.
Which toffee vodka has the best recent Great Taste result?
Wicstun Distillery and Solway Spirits achieved the highest ratings in our five-year comparison. Both received two stars.
However, Wicstun Distillery holds the most recent two-star result after winning its award in 2026. This makes it our top-ranked Great Taste Award-winning UK toffee vodka for the period covered.
Wicstun’s combination of toffee, fudge and salted caramel flavours makes it suitable for sipping, mixing and serving with desserts. Its 22% ABV also makes it approachable for people who find full-strength vodka too strong.
