Wicstun Distillery Sponsors Giant Bradley Day - 1 July 2024

We are proud to announce that Wicstun Distillery are one of the main sponsors of the 2024 Giant Bradley Day in Market Weighton on 14th July 2024.

Giant Bradley Day is a local celebration of Willaim Bradley, the UK's tallest man, who lived in Market Weighton.

The town is proud of our very own giant and runs a family fun day every year, which takes over the Market Weighton high street.

This free and popular flagship event will be held in Market Weighton High Street on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a full day of activities and around 45 stalls.

Look North's Peter Levy will officially open the event, which will include aerial theatre in the Memorial Playing Fields.

The fun-packed day is named after William Bradley, also known as Giant Bradley or the Yorkshire Giant. He was the tallest Englishman, measuring seven foot nine inches (2.36 metres), and he died in 1820 at the age of 33. He lived all his life in the town, and a statue in his memory is located in the Market Place.

Wicstun Distillery will have a stall outside the Loundesborough Arms selling our range of spirits.
